Hi Everyone,
Well the flu has visited the Fusco house! My daughter Audrey got sick on Friday. The poor little
thing, high fevers and a cough. She seems to be improving now though. Today she started telling
me how bored she is, so I take that as a good sign. Let's hope the rest of us can escape it!! The
statistics are that if someone gets the flu in your house you have a 20% chance of getting it.
Last week we had the Taiko Japanese drummers visit the school for a performance. They were
awesome. The real exciting thing was that our own Nick Wild was a member of this group once. The
performers were so excited to see him and he even got up and performed too. The students got so
much out of this event and special thanks to Erica Rossitto who did all of the legwork to get this
done.
The 5th grade students vs the teachers basketball game is tomorrow at 3:30 at HRMS. Make sure
your children take it easy on us on Tuesday. We will be "icing" down by then. We are doing it earlier
this year and are looking forward to a great time. See you then.
Please do not forget that our half day on Wednesday is at 12:05 not the usual 1:15PM. Also please
go to the links page so that you can register your stop and shop card with the A+ program. This is
another opportunity for people to get us some of the free money that is out there. You can also have
friends and family sign up too.
I would like to express to all of the families at Great Oak school my families sincere wish for a
wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
Take Care,
Mr. Fusco
