The Great Oak School is a community of elementary students, families and staff. All members of the
Great Oak community recognize that successful teaching and learning can occur only in a safe and
nurturing environment. Our mission is to maintain an inclusive learning community that respects and
values the similarities and differences of all its members and expects them to engage in a continuous
process of learning. All members will be empowered to reach their intellectual, social, emotional,
creative and physical potential. This will provide our school community with the adaptability to succeed
in the 21st century.
For Students
All children and adults at Great Oak school are special people. We all know how important it is to learn
and work together in a place where we all care about each other. Our goal is to make sure that
everyone is learning, each and every day. We will help ourselves by getting along, helping one another
and using our minds and bodies. We will reach our goals today, tomorrow and every day, by working
together as a team.
