Ocober 2009
We have finished unit 1 of Reading Street and have been testing since last
week. I will be able to go over the test results with you at conferences
later this week. I also have the results from the first two assessments in
math, although you should have already seen the results if your child brought
the math test home!
Please make sure you send in the dough mixture and foam board for our
social studies project on Tues., Oct. 27th. I have extra foam available for
those students who will not be able to send it in. We have three parents
available to come in and help us with this project as it can be messy and
confusing at times!
On Friday, the entire school will be dressing in orange, black and white
in celebration of Halloween. However, there will be no formal classroom
parties for this day. The new student council came up with the idea of
drssing in Halloween colors.
I can't believe this is the end of October already. This year seems to be
flying by as we have been moving at a fairly fast pace with our small little
class of 16!. They are wonderful workers and work cooperatively with one
another.
Thank you and see you all at conferences on the 29th! Bookfair for room
10 is Wed., Oct. 28th at 10:50, after Library class.
