FAQThis page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
How much homework should my child have in fourth grade? Fourth graders have an average of 30-40 minutes of homework a night. Sometimes it may be a little longer if they have a project to do. How can I get in touch with the teacher if I have a concern? You can either write a note, call the school, or e-mail me here at the Hansen. How much help should I give my child when doing homework? Your child should need very little help when doing an assignment. However, if he or she has a question, you should assist them. If you would like to check the homework when it is done, that is perfectly fine also. Homework is practicing what they have been taught and any further help at home is always beneficial. It also would be extremely helpful to help the children study for any tests. When do my children have tests? Every Friday there will be a spelling test. Other tests in various subjects will be given at the conclusion of a skill or unit. The children will be notified at least 3 days in advance, if not longer. They will write this in their homework notebook |
