Classwork--Tuesday, Sept. 8: Respond to two blog posts for the weekend's
Setting assignment. To do this, ask two classmates for their blog addresses,
and click "comment" under their posting for the SETTING exercise. For each,
complete four tasks. Always write in complete sentences.
1. Identify the mood that the author was trying to create for the piece.
2. How did the author's diction contribute to the overall mood? List some
word choices that back up your assertion.
3. Identify three examples of imagery the author used.
4. Add three detail sentences to the setting that are consistent with the
mood the author has established. These sentences could be added anywhere in
the selection--it's up to you where they should be inserted.
