Welcome to Ms. Bowker's Website.
I am excited to be back at Holliston High School for my forth year. I am
looking forward to a great year.
The expectations of students in the classroom follow the Student Handbook and
are outlined on the first day of class. I encourage and support
communication between student, family and myself so if the need should arise
feel free to contact me. I can be reached by email at
bowkerc@holliston.k12.ma.us and by voicemail extension is 5315. I am
available daily for extra help during DSB or after school in room 315.
The Biology course description is designed to reflect concepts relating
to the following categories of study: Principles of Cell Biology,
Characteristics of Organisms, Matter and Energy in Ecosystems, Principles of
Heredity and Evolution of Life. These concepts will be explored through
lecture, inquiry based laboratory exercises, assigned readings, written
assignments, use of multimedia and computer resources. In addition to
academic performance, participation and class contribution are considered
and important part of the learning experience. The book is "Exploring Life".

In addition to Biology, I will be teaching Environmental Science,Meteorology,
Forensics and Anatomy and Physiology during the 2009-2010 school year. For
content descriptions for any of these class please see the course
descriptions found in the program of studies.
