Dear Families, Lots is happening in 2LL this week. In fact, we will be busy, busy, busy until the very last day! We have our “wool and sheep” field trip early Wed. morning(be sure to dress your child for outside weather). Our drivers for that trip are: Antonia P., Lynn H., Hope C., Valerie G., and Sheila C. Please arrive at 8:30 with your kids as our presentation begins at the Farm at 9am. Our nature walk and second “art appreciation” presentation is in June, just around the corner. The children are very involved making Catwings puppets in preparation for little drama scenes, learning about the culture, history, geography of Japan and they are also studying the structure of nonfiction books through Gail Gibbons’ work. We are working on learning how to count change and make change so any “home” work you can do with coins would be useful. Some amazing poetry is being written in 2LL and our last writer’s workshop stories are being typed up. So as you can see we are busy! We have so enjoyed this year with your children and love these last few weeks of their showing all they have accomplished in 2LL this year. We want to thank you all for your support and interest in this very important work we do. Have a wonderful summer with your children! Warmly, Patty and Renee
