The next pre-algebra project is to choose a career that interests you.
Answer these questions in booklet form:
1. What kind of education is necessary for this work?
2. What salary is earned by people in this career?
3. Are there opportunities for advancement, promotion, in this line of work?
4. Where can a person do this work? Does it mean living in a large city?
Are there more of these jobs in certain parts of the country?
5. What is the job market like? Will there be plenty of jobs in the field
from which to choose from?
This project is designed for pre-algebra and is due Oct. 29th the day before
Halloween.
The powerpoint project is due Sept. 30th

The Favorite Formula Poster:
counts as a quiz grade
25 points-Poster is neat, organized, uses well planned graphics
25 points-Poster states formula correctly
25 points-Poster shows transformations of formula Ex. Distance=r x t
time= d/rate rate= d/time
25 points-Poster shows substitutions of numbers in a real life usage of the
formula. This poster is due Nov.. 23 Wed. before Thanksgiving.
This project is designed for Alg. one students-This powerpoint presentation
will have at least 5 slides: Slide one is the name of the company and your
name, Slide 2 is a picture of the container and a catchy tagline like
Shrimply the Best, Slide 3 is the formula you would use to calculate the
volume, Slide 4 is the calculation, Slide 5 gives reasons why I should buy
your product. Make 3 convincing arguments. This project is due Oct.9th.
Final mini-project for Alg. one- Complete four drawings 25 points each on
coordinate geometry: One makes a Boat, a Cat's head, the Brooklyn Bridge,
and a Map of Africa. This is due Oct. 30th
