This ransom note project is designed for pre-algebra classes.
This project was done in the 2006-2007 school year.
Percent ransom notes and collages-Each year we make percent ransom notes and
collages. We cut the letters from newspapers and magazines. They have to
have a tag line for example- Percents are per hundred or Percents are used
in
shopping.- Percents are used to calculate Discount and Sale Price-Percents
can make you wealthy-Take Interest in Percents-Interest
rates vary at the bank-Interest is Very Interesting Real estate agents earn
commission. No violent images are
allowed. You are allowed to use pictures from magazines or newspapers to
make
a collage around your messages. Prizes will be awarded for the most
creative
designs.

Make a booklet of five favorite cars or trucks. Graph their fuel economy for
city and highway using inequalities. Also have a photo of each car or truck
