This is my twenty-eighth year of teaching. After graduating from
Boston College I taught special needs in Brevard County, Florida
for six years. Imagine, the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded
outside my school. I've taught in Foxborough, Dedham, and am
starting my fifteenth year with the King Philip Regional School
District. I am married to a Westwood Police
Lieutenant and have an enthusiastic and active eleven year old
daughter, Julia. My interests are movies, the theater, travel,
and reading. The way I relax is by going to the beach,
reading a great novel, or going to Boston and enjoying
a fine meal.
Language arts is a challenging course.
It is my goal that every student leaves my class a
critical reader, and an organized and descriptive
writer. Every student will know and use the best strategies
for becoming independent readers and writers. We will work
very hard, and we may play hard. Dramatizations, presentations,
and projects will be incorporated into our
busy curriculum. Participation is critical in this class.
