We will write about two journal questions per week this year. After seven questions I will collect a student's writing and do a "Journal Check."
Reminder: Since you are in seventh grade, all Journal Questions should be answered with at least seven complete sentences. And since seventh graders are about thirteen years old, thirteen is the number of words students should average per sentence.
And, no, that is not cruel. (wink)
JOURNAL CHECK # 4
JQ # 1:
You Are the Critic: What is the worst movie that you have ever seen? Imagine that you are a movie critic. Write a review tearing this movie to shreds.
JQ# 2:
You will be stranded on a deserted island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean for ten years. You are allowed to bring one each of the following: book, movie, playlist, food item, drink item, clothing outfit, and one miscellaneous item. Explain why you chose each item.
JQ # 3:
We all have different experiences in life, especially when we’re growing up.
Write a vivid memory from childhood, something that you will always remember about growing up. It can be from years ago, or from last week. (Details, Details, Details!)
