<div style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; ">Middle-C's is an extra-curicular school ensemble which is an auditioned group. We meet on Thursday mornings from 7:00-7:50, and occasionally another afternoon/morning, depending on need. All rehearsals are mandatory unless pre-approved. Students prepare a piece which they feel shows off their voice, as well as a piece selected by me. I also check out rhythmic skills and sight-singing skills. Don't let this worry you, though. Weaknesses are worked on throughout the year.   JCGC:
Jonas Clarke Girl's Choir-A full year course which meets twice/week
during the day. It fulfills the requirements for 8th grade music, as
well as fulfilling the need to be part a fun filled, energetic, SAFE,
group of close friends. We sing for extra-curricular events, and
typically create a recording each year at a recording studio. 
Clarke
Gents: This group is for "boys only," and is typically mentored by high
school guys. You will work with music arrangement on pieces of your own
choice. Clarke Gents is an a'cappella group. If interested, see Mrs.
Hughes. Open to 7th/8th grade guys. Congratulations to Jr. Dist auditioners. The following students won a position:                               Eli Brodner                               Julian Berliner                               Carter Ye                               Eric Rubinstein                               Jiho Li                               Maeve Weisen This is a great accomplishment. Be proud of yourselves. The competition is stiff! Congratulations to:      Sarah Lambertus   Serena Lehman       Monica Chang         Karina Wen You have been accepted into LHS women's ensemble Middle C and JCGC REHEARSALS have been added for the next two weeks!!!!!  </div><div style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; "> </div><div style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; ">Middle-C's- Tuesday/Thursday 7:00 AM </div><div style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; ">JCGC  Monday/Wednesday 7:00 AM </div><div style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; ">Anyone in JCGC who wishes to stay on Tuesday after school for additional work in groups, let me know and I will be available for you.    </div><div style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; "> </div><div style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; ">We will also have a "listening party" on June 18th after school with all the groups who recorded. We will sing for each other, listen to our recordings, and  eat pizza. (small contribution.)       Concert Wednesday May 23 7:00. Audience enters 6:50. Mid C's arrive 5:30 (in place) JCGC arrive 5:50 (in place) 6-8 arrive 6:00 (in place) Please adhere to dress code as stated in handbook and reminder notice. (Black bottom, White top, dress shoes, ties for boys, no sneakers, no jeans.) Next Friday, June 1, JCGC and Middle -C's will be traveling to Medford High for an adjudication. Buses leave Clarke at 8:15 AM, we sing, leave Medford at 12:30 is, go to the Pru for our duck tour (bring a bag lunch). Buses will pick us up there at 4:00 PM to return to Clarke. </div>
