| INVENTION CONVENTION!!!
Our 1st Annual Invention Convention was a great success! I am SO very proud
of all of my kids. They worked extremely hard and as you could all see, it
really paid off. Thanks to all of the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles,
brothers, sisters, and friends who came to view our inventions. We were all
happy to see you there!
STUDY ISLAND
Your children have been trained in a wonderful new addition to Litwin School
called "Study Island." This is a website devoted to MCAS prep. The site
allows each child to practice ALL of the standards for their grade level
either by on-line tests or games which support each topic. The children
seemed to be extremely interested in the website when I introduced it to
them just a few short weeks ago. They will be using the website during
their computer time with Mrs. Pre where she will re-enforce the directions
for the website as well as with me on a weekly or bi-weekly basis when I can
sign up to use the computer lab. Just yesterday, each child received
his/her own ID # that they must use to access the website. By doing so,
your child will be able to track his/her progress in each skill being
assessed. The ID #'s are posted in the "For Mom & Dad's Eyes ONLY section
of our classroom website. If for some reason you cannot access the site,
please let me know and I will send home a copy of your child's ID. Keep in
mind that these passwords are confidential to your child and they should not
be shared with their friends or classmates. Please encourage your child to
use this website as much as possible. Not only is it fun but also extremely
beneficial to their MCAS success. Hope you can enjoy this website as a
family, also. Thanks again for all of your help in making your child's
education a success!
