                             Binder Organization

SET UP:
Your binder should have a Social Studies section. The Social Studies section
should be divided into TWO sections:
•	Current Unit (Class notes, worksheets, and returned homework)
•	Reference (Returned tests and quizzes, and other important papers)

We will work together to number every paper in the Current Unit section and
keep a record of them in a Table of Contents. After each unit we will clean
out the entire section and start a new Table of Contents.

Every handout and/or paper will be hole-punched to assist you in keeping
your binder organized. If you have something that is not hole punched you
should take the time to hole-punch it and get it into your binder.

TIPS:
• Clip things in your binder RIGHT AWAY!
• Don’t stuff papers into the pockets in the cover of your binder.
• Plan on organizing your binder once a week at home.
• I would be happy to help anyone stay organized, just come and see me.
• Use the tabs at the end of your binder to open the rings!
• Opening the binder using the rings will bend them and allow papers to slip
out, rip, and make your organization very difficult.
