About Mrs. Sheridan:
This is my fourth year at Memorial School as a first grade teacher. Before
teaching here I taught preschool in Brookline and first grade in Topsfield.
I grew up in Connecticut with two brothers, a sister, and a bearded collie
named Webster.
I recieved my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Elmira
college, and my Master's in Elementary Education from Framingham State.
Some of my interests include: reading, going to the beach, and travelling.
I spent two summers teaching in Thailand. This past summer I got married and
went to Hawaii on my honeymoon.
About Miss Mears:
I am currently a senior at Endicott College majoring in Elementary Education
with a minor in
Psychology. I will be student teaching in Mrs. Sheridan's first grade
classroom. I have completed
two internships in first and fourth grade at Fisher Elementary School in
Arlington, Vermont. Last
year, I was placed in third grade at Centerville School in Beverly for my
pre-practicum experience.
I am from Arlington, Vermont. I have an older sister and brother. I spend my
summers nannying in
Vermont and spending time with family and friends. Some highlights of my
summer include: my
brother's wedding, a road trip to Myrtle Beach with friends, and an annual
trip to the Cape.
I think that first grade is a time to nuture a love of school and learning
in the students. It is my hope that the children in my class will become
independent and eager learners.
