I am married with three children and have lived in Manchester for
eighteen years. Two of my children attend school in Manchester. Maggie will
be in eleventh grade and Kevin will be in ninth grade. My oldest son Dan
graduated from Manchester Essex Regional High School and will be senior at
Brown University this fall. I received my undergraduate degree from
Providence College in Psychology and my Masters Degree in Elementary
Education from Salem State College. My hobbies include tennis, gardening,
reading and traveling with my children and husband Jerry.
I am very familiar with the Manchester Memorial school environment.
In addition to volunteering for many years, I did my student teaching in
fourth grade. I also spent time substituting in all classrooms in the
school, I was even the school nurse for a day!
I am extremely excited about this upcoming school year. I have been
working hard on our curriculum for most of the summer. I look forward
to beginning the school year with my students and will strive to provide
them with a fun, safe and challenging classroom environment.
Second grade is an important year of growth and learning. My goal is
to meet the individual needs of each and every child in my classroom.
Additionally, I want to develop and foster in all of my students a lifelong
passion for reading. Finally, I will strive to instill the same love of
learning that I have in my students helping them to become problem
solvers and independent thinkers.
