How much time should my child be spending on homework each night?

Homework should take approximately 45-60 minutes per night
including nightly
reading and review of facts. Studying for quizes and tests may
involve
additional homework time. Language Arts students should also be
studying
their Spelling and Vocabulary words for the weekly tests.

Are you available for extra help after school?

Teachers do not work with students after school at the elementary
level.
However, there are two recess periods each day in which I make
myself
available to any student that feels they need extra help. This
time can
also be utilized for make-up work or study groups.

What time should my child arrive at school?

8:00 is when the morning supervising begins at Mapleshade. If
you drop off
your child earlier or they walk to school and arrive before this
time there
is no teacher on duty yet.
