I am originally from California. I moved out to Massachusetts to complete
my undergraduate work at Brandeis University. My graduate work in
Elementary Education was completed at Lesley University, with my internship
completed on the Six Nations Indian Reserve in Canada. I am a certified
Reading Specialist and a member of the International Reading Association. I
have been teaching at Bell School for almost 12 years. In that time, I have
served on Faculty Council, the Board of the Friends of Marblehead Public
Schools, the Marblehead Professional Development Committee as well as chaired
the Community Meeting Committee and co-chaired the Bell School Site Based
Management Team.
I like to travel and have been to Alaska, Hawaii, islands in the Caribbean,
Europe many times, and to most of the provinces in Canada. I am hoping to
make it up to the Arctic within the next couple of years. In my spare time I
enjoy camping, hiking, biking, fly fishing, kayaking, sailing, gardening,
reading, renovating my bungalow and playing with my dogs!
