About The Teacher

     The 2008-2009 school year is my fifth year as the Early Elementary
Language Based teacher in Marblehead, (Prior to this I was a tutor in the
Language Based Class at the Glover School for three years)).  I hold
Massachusetts State Certifications in Elementary Education and in Special
Education.  I also am a certified Wilson Reading Instructor and trained
Lindamood Bell instructor in LIPS and Visualizing and Verbalizing.  I have a
Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Villanova University, a Masters
Degree in Special Education from Salem State College, and have done other
graduate work at Pennsylvania State University in teaching reading and Lesley
University studying technology in education.
   
      Teaching the Language Based class has been very rewarding.  With my
experience and education I look forward with tremendous excitement to a new
and successful year with the wonderful children of the Coffin School.
