Homework

Every night, it is important to...

  •   READ! Find your favorite spot at home and take a few minutes to read. Whether you spend 10-15 minutes or an hour, reading is essential to learning! Be sure to record the title of the book you are reading, the minutes you spend reading, and have a parent sign your agenda book. Students have been doing a great job of this lately!

  • Study Spelling. You should follow the cover and copy directions on your weekly spelling list as one way to study. Study in the car, on the bus, or even while you brush your teeth :)

  • Math Facts. Some students should continue to study addition and subtraction facts. These should be memorized in order to recite and remember them quickly. All students should be studying the set of multiplication facts they are currently on. Flashcards (homemade ones are the best) work great for this. We are beginning to take weekly fact quizzes that will be sent home. This will help you decide which type of facts you should study.
