Math

The calendar is still a main focus of our math program. This week we
continued to practice counting, making equal sets and finding similiar
attributes.

*Practiced writing the Nos. 1 and 2.
*Sorted our class using different sorting rules. Discovered that we could
sort ourselves by different attributes.
*Sorted bears in two different ways.
*Introduced the Sorting Attribute Blocks Game. Played with a partner. Used
cards that stated a specific attribute and found blocks that had that
particular attribute.
*Played Spin and Play Math.
*Counted using the counting jar. Made an equivalent set. Recorded one way to
represent our answer in our Recording book.
*Answered Today's Question --- Are you the oldest child in your family?
Recorded our answers and discussed the results.

can clue us in to reading. Counted the number of sentences and words in the
poem.
*Practiced letters and sounds on the alphabet chart.
*Sorted pictures that began and did not begin with M.
*Read our class Knock Knock book.
*Practiced writing lowercase M using white boards in whole group.

appropriately.
