Activities we work on daily at morning meeting are:

CALENDAR - month, days of the week, concept of yesterday, today
and tomorrow,counting by ones, numerals before and after, patterns
WEATHER - daily weather and reading a weather graph using the following
describing words; most,least,equal,first,second,etc.
# COUNT OF DAYS IN SCHOOL - keeping a count, using a ones, tens, 100s pocket, 
counting by tens and fives 
chart - making an addition sentence as we add a new ones stick 
ABC - uppercase and lowercase recognition, letter sounds and sight words

Language Arts Activities
* sight words introduced: a, am, and, at, can, Dad, go, he, I, in, is, it, 
like,look, me, Mom, my, no, on, see, she, the, to, we, you
* small reading groups; looking for title, pointing to words as we read
  looking at pictures for clues and Title page, taking a picture walk,
  words that begin with, words that end with,reading together and separately,
  and word work
* practicing blending and segmenting sounds in words as we read and write
* using letter tiles to spell and change simple CVC words and work on word 
families; _at, _ug, _ad, _in, _op
* review X, x, E and e and in our handwriting book
* classbook "Z is for..." thought of a "z" word and illustrated 
* illustrated "Zebra" poem for our notebooks
* finished observing and writing in a bean plant journal 
* Beginning, middle and end of the story: "I Wish I Were A Butterfly"
* letter bag spelling - find an object and spell the word
* writing: "If I Ran the Zoo..."
* Buddy Read
* word work - sight word roll, write and read
* egg sight words - make the word from letter tiles in an egg
* sound switch games...change a letter in a CVC word and make a new word 
* Lightbulb Lab  - independent writing and illustrating

Math Activities

* Counting Jar
* Grab and Count 2 Handfuls
* arrangements of 5,6,7,8 tiles and writing addition sentneces to go with them
* Take Away Towers
* putting numbers 1-25 in order
* Botanist seed graph
* Collect 15, 20
* How Many Did You Count?
* fill in the "zebra" with pattern blocks
* Before and After Number - roll the dice and write the number before and 
after
