I have taught instrumental music and coached track teams at MV for many
years. I play brass instruments, run a disc jockey service, and I love to
run.
Why run? It's great for physical conditioning, and I also can't resist the
competition of a weekend race!
Why music? It’s fun! To become a musician takes practice and hard work, but
it’s really worth it! Playing an instrument in a band is a fun thing to do!
In order to be a good musician it takes hard work and practice!
To be a great track athlete also takes hard work and practice!
Over the years I have met many great students who have become awesome
athletes and fine musicians too. For this, I consider myself lucky!
If it sounds unusual that a music teacher would be a track coach, just
imagine that in both music and athletics, we always strive for perfection
and try to be the best!
I hope that I see you in the band room, or out on the track. Maybe both!

I hope my students develop an appreciation for all types of music, and along
the way develop a desire to strive for perfection in musical performance!
