Hi!
My name is Megan Hughes and I just love teaching science. And to top it
off...I do actually love 8th graders!
I received both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Worcester
Polytechnic Institute. My undergraduate degree is in Mechanical Engineering
and my Master's is in Biomaterial Engineering. Can you believe I gave all
that up for teaching? It is so worth it!
This is my 11th year in the Wachusett Regional School District. My first
two years were at Paxton Center School and I have been at Mountview ever
since. I have taught both 7th and 8th grade science, math, and technology.
My hope is to open the world of science to all children. Not everyone will
become scientists, but my mission is to expand the horizons of my students
and help them to understand that science is in every part of their lives! I
want my students to enjoy the wonders of the world around them and be able
to function in an ever growing technological society.
