I have been teaching for approximately 8 years. I started teaching 8th
grade and loved it! But I accepted the 6th grade position at Mountview and
to be honest, wouldn't want to teach any other grade level.
I received my BA in History from Worcester State College and my M.Ed from
Fitchburg State. I am currently pursuing my CAGS from American Int'l. I
believe in being a life-long learner and want to instill that philosophy in
my students.
I was born and raised in Holden, attended Mountview and Wachusett, and
recently purchased a home here. However, you will not see me running the
streets of Holden as Mr. Champlin and Mrs. Neilan do.
I am really looking forward to a great year with many new curriculum
challenges and new cross-curricular activities. We had
an absolute blast with last years class and anticipate that this year will
be just as good, if not better.
Oh! I'm also a HUGE Red Sox fan!
Students need to understand that not everyone is an "A" student. Effort is
the key to success. As long as they work hard and put forth 100% effort
into even the smallest assignment, they will succeed. A hard fought "C" is
something to be proud of.
