Secret Word is Mustangs

All students were given a user name and password, assigned by Quia on Monday, 
May 14th.

We have begun our author study on S. E. Hinton with her classic novel, The 
Outsiders.  Students have access to the novel in class however, we lack 
enough copies for students to take the book home.  Time is dedicated daily 
for reading however students are welcome to download the book on personal e-
readers or to bring a personal copy of the book for use in class.

Also, all questions and worksheets for this unit will now be posted on-line.  
It is the responsibility of the student to visit this website and either 
write the answers to the questions in his/her reader's notebook or to print 
the worksheets and bring them into class on the date due.  This shift is an 
effort to enhance 20th century learning skills as well as promote less paper 
consumption.  Students have computer access during class as well should 
access at home prove to be a problem.  All assignments are given 3-4 days in 
advance.
