Grading
The grading is as follows toward your final grade: 10% graded homework
assignments (not all homework is graded), 10% homework completion, 10% class
participation, 20% quiz grades/bio-tech packet, 20% project, and 30% test
grades. The grade you earn for your bio-tech packet will count as two quiz
grades. The bio-tech test will count as two test grades. The folder grade
will count as one test grade.
Expectations:
Participate in class individually and cooperatively in groups.
Come to class prepared with your pencil, pen, folder, and agenda book.
Be responsible to make up missed work.
If homework is not in class when we review it, which is usually on the day it
is due you will receive a zero. This means graded homework assignments as
well as homework completion assignments.
Projects passed in late will lose 25 points per day from the project grade.
Be respectful of individual and group dynamics during all activities.
Do the best work you are capable of accomplishing, thus SUCCESS!
Homework Assignments
11/10 - Please pick a topic for your project. Acceptable topics are : types
of diseases, health organizations, or a person who has made a health or
medical science contribution to society. This is due on Thursday, 11/12. If
you do not have a topic by Friday, 11/13, one with be assigned to you.
11/12 - Please complete the worksheet titled, " Thinking about good health".
This is due tomorrow, Friday 11/13.
