Mr. Doyon would like to thank musicians from all grades for their earnest focus during the holiday season for what shaped up to be a fantastic holiday concert performance. 
 
8th Grade Music 
 
The 8th grade begins the new year with a unit on world music styles. Please remember to bring a pencil to class! 
 
7th Grade Music 
 
To start off 2010, the 7th grade will study the post-jazz forms of music  such as fusion and alternative. By the end of this unit, students should be prepared to show how the future of music relates to its past. Please remember your pencil for class! 
 
5th Grade Music 
 
The 5th graders are studying a number of musical styles that are known for their strong rhythms and dynamic sound. 
 
4th Grade Music 
 
The 4th grade begins work developing an understanding of tempo through world folk music and other musical styles. 
 
Beginning and Advanced Band 
 
Remember, no one improves on an instrument without 15 to 20 minutes of practice outside of rehearsal at least 5 times per week. Extra help can be sought from Mr. Kaplan or Mr. Doyon on Thursday afternoon by appointment and Friday with Mr. Doyon by appointment (as long as arrangements for pickup have been made).
