History Department Test Re-Take Policy
The MVRCS history department policy does not offer test re-takes. If a
student approaches his or her studies in a responsible, serious, and focused
manner the expectations are that the student will perform in a satisfactory
or better manner on any test or quiz administered within the department.
Failure to approach academic responsibilities as mentioned above may result
in a poor grade, but it is hoped that a situation such as this will serve to
encourage and motivate the student to work more diligently in the future.
As well, the MVRCS history department makes every effort to offer
assessments of sufficient number and variety that a student who performs
poorly on one assessment will have ample opportunity to improve their
performance on future assessments such that their grade will improve.
All students are encouraged by the department to seek individual assistance
with any academic responsibility at any time they feel the need. As such,
any deficiencies or confusion can be addressed in an immediate fashion
rather than presuming that a test re-take can be done at a later date.
