What is the best way to reach Ms. Potoma with a question?

Email. My email address is: apotoma@mvrcs.org
I have classes in both buildings all day long. I very infrequently am in my
office to answer the phone, or check phone messages. If you email me you
will get a prompt response.
You can also find me after school in the annex building everyday!

What is the International Thespian Society?

The International Thespian Society is an honor society for theatre. Students
in 6th, 7th or 8th grade who qualify may apply for membership. Membership is
based on hours of participation in the theatre as an actor, designer, crew
member, writer etc. See Ms. Potoma for more details.

Will every student who auditions for the play be cast?

While I would love to cast every student who auditions for the play,
unfortunately not every student will be cast.
If a student is on academic probation I cannot cast them in the play.
If a student is failing a class, I cannot cast them, because academics come
first.
If a student cannot attend the performances, I cannot cast them.

Ultimately it comes down to availability to rehearse. For example, if you
can only come every other Thursday from 5:00 - 5:30, it makes it difficult
to rehearse the play when a member of the cast is always missing. Please
have your student take these things into consideration before committing to
the play. Students who are not cast as actors have the opportunity to work
behind the scenes.

I will post the rehearsal schedule in the calendar section of TeacherWeb
once the play is cast.
