This is my 33rd year as a Kindergarten teacher at Naquag School. Both my
Bachelor's and Master's degrees are in Early Childhood Education.
My husband and I have lived in Rutland for 36 years and have found it to
be a wonderful place to raise our two sons, both of whom attended schools in
the Wachusett School district from grades K-12. They are now grown and
happily married and we have two wonderful daughters-in-law and a precious
granddaughter, Ellie.
When I'm not in school, I love to read, walk, practice yoga, go to the
beach, attend Red Sox baseball games, travel, work in my perennial gardens
and my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, wherever they may
be!
I'm happy to say that I still welcome each day in Kindergarten with
eagerness and excitement and find it rewarding that my students and I have
so much to share and teach one another.
Our class goal is to create a community of caring learners in an accepting
and safe environment where children are invested in their learning. We hope
to accomplish these goals by helping children to show patience, tolerance
and acceptance of one another, by taking care of themselves, each other and
their world and by teaching responsibility and independence. Our classroom
will be a place where children will share, have fun, and be allowed to
develop to their greatest potential.
