Spelling - activity due on Thursdays and tests on Fridays of the 5-day
school weeks.
Practicing basic facts for accuracy and speed of all mathematical operations
will benefit the students as they more complex problems.
Reading for 15 or 20 minutes is encouraged for youngsters to gain confidence
and pleasure.
Assignment book procedure (Monday through Thursday): The teacher will
initial the page indicating the student has properly written the date and
the homework assignments. When the homework is complete, the student shows
it to a parent/adult who initials the page to indicate the child has
completed the homework. If the student did not finish an assignment, the
parent does not sign, but may wish to write a note/comment. This procedure
provides communication between school and home as well as develop the
students' work and study habits. Thank you for your assistance!
