I have had the pleasure and very unique experience of teaching at Naquag
Elementary School since 1985. My first two years were spent in the position
of Title 1 Tutor. In 1987 I was appointed to fill a 1st grade position and
have happily served in that capacity ever since. I have also been a Rutland
resident for 36 years. My husband is a retired teacher. My 4 children have
all been students at Naquag and went on to graduate from WRHS. My husband
David and I entered into the awesome world of "grandparenthood" in 2004 with
granddaughter Lily Susan and again in 2007 with granddaughter Allison
Corrine. We have had the most amazing 3 1/2 years!
For 40 years,minus 13 years as a stay at home mom, I have been committed to
education and teaching. My career has brought me fulfillment, challenge,
frustration at times,sleepless nights, tears, and extreme happiness and
joy! I am just as committed to your children this year as I was to my first
students so many years ago. I look forward to a year of shared learning,
growth, and achievement. Together I am confident that we will give your 1st
grader a most successful school experience. I firmly believe that it is
critical for parents and teacher to work as a team. If, during the school
