We have been anxiously awaiting replies to the friendly letters that Grade 3 had written to other Grade 3 students in the 50 states. I am excited to be able to say that the replies are coming in; one came from Alaska and one came from Idaho. The kids were thrilled and they will read those letters in their classroom. What a great beginning to our global outreach/diversity efforts!
I am very pleased and proud of the work that all students have accomplished. They will continue to keyboard. Grades 3 and 4 have finished their content related Power Points. They are done with technology for this year.
Grade 5 has started creating a Power Point of the Phases of the Moon. They are using
www.moonconnection.com as a guide. Students are supposed to be watching the night sky and comparing the nightly moon phase to the moon calendar that they have. So fun and a great project to come right after the Supermoon!
Grades 1 and 2 are back. They have been working on keyboarding, getting familiar with the keys. Check the links to see the keyboarding websites I recommend.
Kindergarteners may be dropping in from time to time practicing what they have learned so far.
