Then check this out:  (a sample question from a Math Olympiad Contest)

Five students (Amy, Beth, Corey, Diego, Emily) sit in that
order in a circle, counting down to 1. Amy starts by saying,
“34”. Then Beth says, “33”, and so on. They continue around
the circle to count down by ones. Who says, “1”?
