Kindergarden students began the
year by studying patterns. Using
the smartboard- we learned about
lines, shapes, and colors that
repeat.

Students then turned their
attention to the portraits by
Gustav Klimt. In these portraits
students were able to identify a
variety of patterns. After
looking at a number of Klimts
portraits we focused our
attention on one in
particular...Baby.

In Klimt's baby portrait the
child is wrapped up in a
beautifully patterned quilt.
Students used this artwork as
inspiration for their own Klimt
portraits!
