As we prepare students for today's workplace and the workplace of the
future, the infusion of technology allows us to better serve the diverse
learning styles of today's students. We are providing an atmosphere
conducive to the development of process skills such as flexibility,
adaptability, critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration that are
essential to success in the information age. We are equipping students
with the tools and knowledge for effective communication and increased
productivity as they become active and experiential learners.
The current technology philosophy for the Rockport Public Schools
states:
The learning community will be technologically literate life-long learners.
Learners will be able to interact successfully in technological
environment to achieve their personal, educational, and career goals.
They will be prepared to live, work and get along with each other in a
global, complex, and changing world society. They will skillfully use
technology to access, retrieve, and use information school-wide,
community-wide, nationally, and internationally.
