The multiage classrooms are supported by a strong philosophy of community. This allows for successful, active, differentiated learning. Each year presents a year long theme, allowing for multi-disciplinary studies.The first year, Family, Friends and Far Away Places focuses on social studies and moves the children from home outward and around the world as they travel from continent to continent. During this year of the curriculum cycle, the children will have an enrichment opportunity entitled "Tell About the Time". The second year, The Year of the Forest, focuses on the temperate forest and its rich inhabitants and life cycles. All learning accepts the styles of each individual student.
