The Spotlight on our Schools

The "Spotlight on our Schools" program is a television show produced by the Superintendent and School Committee.  The program is hosted by the current school committee chair and the Superintendent.  The intent of this program is to feature different facets of the school system and to provide it in an easily accessible medium for the general public.  Approximately three shows are developed and broadcast throughout the school year on the public access cable channel 67.

Copies of each show are also available on DVD at the Rockport Public Library and the Rockport MS/HS Library. You may also view segments of each show on our Video page.

The show was originally conceived by former-chairperson Cathy Swensen and Superintendent Rosemary Ditullio during the 2005-2006 school year.  The creation of the show was the result of a School Committee goal to improve communications with the general public.  Five shows were produced and broadcast throughout the school year in the first season.
