TONING TO TUNES – Instructor: Linda Rowell

An after-school fitness class guaranteed to relieve those winter blues and get you ready for swimsuit weather!  The program focuses upon flexibility, balance and relaxation, as well as addressing the toning and strengthening of major muscle groups.

Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:20- 4:00 p.m. beginning

April 6th.

Registration fee for the 3rd 12 sessions: $48

 

FITNESS CLASS – Instructor: Marsha Whelan

Rockport’s favorite evening fitness class, featuring a total body workout in only one hour!  You can join in at any time – just show up at the Elementary School Gymnasium and speak with Marsha.

Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays for six weeks beginning on April 27th.  

Registration fee for 6 weeks (12 sessions): $60 ($48 for seniors 60+)

BEGINNING GUITAR WORKSHOP

Learn guitar in the style that you want to play – Instructor: Robert Butler

Through the summer, teacher/performer Robert Butler will conduct a ten-week course designed to encourage and delight anyone who has an appreciation for the music of the guitar.  Each class will be 90 minutes in length.  Participants will be guided in a relaxed, yet efficient approach to the instrument including: techniques of rhythm accompaniment-chords, finger picking/flat picking and lead guitar improvisation heard in popular music recordings.  Each session will include individual instruction where your specific goals and questions are addressed.  Students are encouraged to bring recordings of their favorite songs to class, which will be used to demonstrate the techniques of the guitar.  Mr. Butler’s students develop a solid foundation on the guitar while learning about the history of this exciting instrument.

***Each student should have: an electric or acoustic guitar and a notebook***

Classes will be held on Thursday mornings for 10 weeks beginning on June 25^th.

Session #1 – for ages 12-17 will meet in the HS music room from 11:00 – 12:30

Session #2 – for ages 18 and up will meet in the HS music room from 1:00 – 2:30

Registration fee for the 10 week program: $150.00
