Hello KH Families, Please help us find Stephanie Wong's coat! Stephanie's coat has been misplaced and her family would like your help with trying to find it. It was noticed missing on Wednesday afternoon (November 4th) during dismissal. Please see attached picture and description below. Coat information; v Brand name; BabyGap v Style; Chelsea Trench Coat v Color; small pink dotted on brown corduroy w/ lining pink fleece hood, and pink fleece body lining v Shell; 100% cotton v Size; 5 v Serial number; 281037 Fall2009 Thank you! Mrs. Haynes This year Brookline is pleased to announce the creation, at each of the elementary schools, of Green Teams, whose mission is to promote environmental stewardship and education through hands-on events and activities within each school's community. Runkle's Green Team parent coordinator is Tim McGuire, and our teacher leader is Kayla Myerson, 6th grade Science and Social Studies teacher (as well as Runkle's Recycling Czar!). Each month there will be one ThinkEARTHursday in which school-wide carbon-reducing activities are promoted. Our first ThinkEARTHursday will be this upcoming Thursday, October 29. On this day we are asking everyone at Runkle to wear green to promote an Earth-friendly school. Wearing green will provide awareness for members of the community and hopefully spark an interest in doing a part in caring for the Earth. Also, we are asking every student and teacher to bring in a “trash-free” snack for the day. This could be a piece of fruit that has a biodegradable core or a serving of pretzels in a reusable Tupperware. Also, this snack could include a thermos or metal bottle, rather than a plastic, disposable water bottle or a Styrofoam coffee cup. If everyone takes part, this small change WILL make a difference!
