|
Regrettably we are unable to offer Flamenco at this time. We hope to be able to offer an extended class during the winter session.
Flamenco Dance:
Come have a foot stomping, hand clapping, castanet clicking good time!† This exciting dance form originated in Spain, where music and dance are a way of life. In this class young dancers will absorb the dramatic postures and colorful flavor of flamenco. Students will study posture, arm work, handwork, footwork, and rhythm. The goal of this class will be to learn a piece of choreography to be performed at International Night. Boys strongly encouraged! Ole! Open to students previously enrolled in flamenco and to new students grades 2-5. The instructor is Eve Agush and you have seen her and her students’ performance during Runkle’s International Night. This class will run a special 15-week session and will culminate with the performance for International Night.
