This fun and engaging yoga class explores yoga poses, cooperative games, breathing, the language of yoga, relaxation and meditation. It also conveys positive lessons in self-expression, body-awareness, and social skills. Yoga has a significant positive effect on children’s academic achievement and general health. Non-competitive and fun, students develop strength, flexibility, concentration and confidence. Class is open to students in grades 1-4. Please have students wear loose, comfortable clothes for the class. Bring yoga mat and bath-sized towel or small blanket.
