Last week in Language Arts, we learned about the letter Cc. We read the Big Book, Cat's Colors. We made our own class book called, The Colors of KB. We made paper cats and Christmas trees and wrote sentences about each. We made a list of C words and discussed how c makes a few sounds including /k/, /s/, and /ch/. We played a guessing game and made a list of many foods that begin with c.
In Math, we learned about the numbers 11 and 12. We compared numbers using, "greater than", "less than", and "equal to". We ordered numbers to 12 and played a numbers game with partners.
In Religion, we continued learning about Advent. We sang an advent song and "lit" the second candle on our Advent wreath. We learned an Advent poem and added it to our Poetry book. We went to a school Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We made gifts for our families and made our own Christmas cards. We practiced our songs for the Christmas program and watched the movie, "The Crippled Lamb". We also read many Christmas stories.

Items we could use for the classroom include:
-small and large white paper plates
-ribbon and yarn(all colors)
-tissue paper
-JUMBO size ziplock bags
