Happy 2010! I hope you all had a great Christmas vacation with your children! I enjoyed my time with family but am excited to be back to school. It is hard to believe how fast the year is going.
Just a reminder that next Mon. 1/11 there is no school for Kindergarten due to K1 and K screenings.
Starting in a few weeks, your child will begin bringing home a book to read with you. I will send the book home on Mondays and your child can keep it at home until he/she is comfortable reading it aloud. The books will reinforce the sight words we are learning and each child will read books that are appropriate for them. Please send the book back in the bag that it came in, as each book is numbered and placed in a certain order.
Also before vacation I cleaned my desk; however in the cleaning process I misplaced my Mystery Reader sign-up sheet. If you have signed up and know what your date is please email me it so I can write it down. If you do not remember the date or have not signed up and would like to, please let me know and I will send you a list of open dates.
