Grade 6 SS:Beginning a unit on Ancient Greece. This will involve text,
additional activities in school and out of school and a project. We will
also do our Macedonian Phalanx with Mr. Ryan. The students will make their
shields for the event.
Grade 7 SS:Beginning countries in South America. Each student has chosen one
country to research and present to the class. They will work on it in class
and at home. We will use the text and other smaller activites in class as a
supplement.
Grade 8 SS: Beginning the Industrial Revolution and will take a field trip to
the Lowell Mills this month and participate in the program "Bail to Bolt" and
actually work on a machine and create their own piece of weaving.
Grade 8 Language Arts
We will begin the novel To Kill A Mockingbird, outside book for the month is
reader's choice, continue with grammar and vocabulary and creative writing
daily.
All grades in middle school will continue to work on listening to or reading
the news daily. Every other week we will have our newsgame.
