Although we only had four days this week, we still were very busy and got many things accomplished.
· In language arts the class read the story Dinner At Panda Palace . Our song this week was Ten Fat Turkeys. Our letter this week was Tt. We practiced all week the correct way to form the letter Tt and we made a class list of words that begin with the letter t. We did many activities focusing on the letter Tt during centers including making a "t" book, a turtle and we made our t page of our alphabet book. We continued practicing rhyming, color words and story sequencing. We continued practicing reading our two new high frequency words, can and at .
· We continued our math unit and learned about more and less.
· In religion we began our new unit on how God Made Me.
· In social studies we continued learning about fall. We attended a special school assembly about Veteran's Day.
***** Our letter for next week is Ff. The children can put their sharing item in a bag so the class can't see it and they will ask questions to see if they are able to guess the item.
******Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside recess. It might be a good idea if he/she keeps a pair of mittens/gloves in their coat pocket for those chilly days. A couple of days this past week were very cool and some of the children had cold hands.
*******Book Fair is this coming week. Our class will be given the opportunity to go to the fair on Wednesday during our library period. If you would like your child to purchase books, please be sure to send in the money on Wednesday.
*******We will be having our Thanksgiving Celebration on Wednesday, November 25th. Our room parents will be contacting some of you to send in needed supplies or to volunteer to help on that morning.
