I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving and enjoyed the long weekend. We had a very busy week last week even though it was only 2 1/2 days. We did many Thanksgiving activities and did a lot of turkey crafts. Our Thanksgiving celebration was wonderful. I would like to thank Mrs. Patriarca and Mrs. Caryl for helping to organize things and I would also like to thank those of you who were able to volunteer your time or an item for our party. The children really seemed to enjoy themselves.
The month of December is a very busy month for everyone and we will be doing many activities in the classroom. We will begin the week learning about Advent. During the month we will be learning about many holidays celebrated around the world during December. We will also be focusing on Christmas and the reason we celebrate Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season.
******Our letter this week will be short a. The children may bring in items for sharing that have the short a sound.
****** Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside play. We have been fortunate for the somewhat mild November but we all know that the weather in New England can change quickly. Hats and mittens/gloves should be worn and kept in a pocket.
*******Conferences are this Thursday. I will be sending home a reminder with your conference time. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please let me know as soon as possible so we can reschedule. I am always available to meet in the mornings before school starts and also in the afternoons.
