Dear Parents,

Happy New Year! Here we are in 2010. We are also in the second half of our school year. It is difficult to believe that  it is the 75th day of school. We have seen a good deal of growth in your children's skills since the beginning of the year.

It is L week. Today the class thought of 21 words. We may hit 100 words by the end of this week.

In this half of the year, the children will practice writing their names with the proper upper and lower case letters. We will spend more time on Math. We will begin estimating activities.

In science, we will talk about hibernation and migration. Our winter activities will include reading many books by Jan Brett and making snowflakes and mittens
