This is my 21st year at Spofford Pond School, but each school year feels
brand new to me. I know this will be another terrific year, and I can't wait
to get started.
We will be developing skills and making connections as we discover new
territory, especially in math, science, and social studies. Computation
skills will be a focus for reading fiction and non-fiction. We will
communicate what we have learned, both orally and in writing across the
curriculum, on a daily basis. Developing the ability to put our ideas down
on paper in an organized and clear manner will be another major focus this
year.
Boys and girls, you and I will work hard this year, but we will have fun
while we learn - at least most of the time.
