The Massachusetts Book Award Program was created in 1975 by Salem State College to encourage kids to read great books. It also gives kids a chance to voice their opinion and choose the book that they think deserves to be named Massachusetts Children's Book of the Year. Only kids are allowed to vote.Back to Top

Read any five books from the list of nominated books. You can go to this web site at www.salemstate.edu/education/mcba/ and then click on Master List. We have copies of all of the nominated books in our school library. All public libraries have copies of these books, also. Keep track of what you read by filling out a log sheet that you can get from Mrs. J.Back to Top
